Peggy Queen

Peggy Lois McCormick Queen, age 71 of Mooresboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 9, 2019.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Dale Queen of the home; children, Teresa Fredrick of Clover, SC, Linda Snider of Lakewood, CA, Eric Loftis of Thomasville, NC, and Jimmy Queen and wife Heather of Rutherfordton, NC; grandchildren, Misty Peebles, Daniel Brock, Tevin Joseph, Jared Snider, Lee Snider, Angel Loftis, Miranda Loftis, Xzavier Loftis, Destiny Queen, Garrett Queen, and Lilly Rae Queen; great grandchildren, Scout Snider, Kaylee Snider, Dante Snider, Mordecai Snider, Daisy Snider, Anabelle Peebles, and Tommy Peebles, and four sisters, Sarah Owens of Spindale, NC, Nancy Morrison of Ellenboro, NC, Christine Thomason of High Point, NC, and Doris Smith of Latta, SC.

Born September 10, 1948 in Dillon, SC, Peggy was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Evelyn Pettit McCormick and was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Loftis, a brother, James McCormick, and a sister, Margaret Cain.

Peggy enjoyed cooking, going to the flea market, working in the yard, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, nurturing grandmother, and a special “GG” to her great grandchildren.  Peggy was sassy but sweet and would always bring a smile to your face.  She was the kind of person that never met a stranger.

The family will announce memorial services at a later date.
