Philip Cash

Mr. Cash, 61, of Shelby, NC, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he retired as Postmaster at Lattimore Post Office and served over 30 years with the U. S. Postal Service and was past president of the N. C. League of Postmasters. He was a member of New Bethel Church of Shelby and was a Sunday School Superintendent for a number of years. He was a former member of the Lions Club in Lattimore and served in the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Cash was preceded in death by his parents Theadore "Pete" Cash & Betty Gregory Cash. Mr. Cash is survived by his wife Judy Summitt Cash of the home, three sons; Kevin Cash and wife Ginger of Kings Mountain, NC, Greg Cash and wife Rhonda of Shelby, NC, and Eric Cash and wife Tracy of Greenville, NC, two brothers Doug Cash and Jeff Cash and wife Marcia both of Grover, NC. Mr. Cash is also survived by grandchildren Philip Cash, Ethan Cash, Logan Cash, Taylor Cash & Eli Cash. Funeral Services will be conducted by the Rev. Eddie Gray, pastor of New Bethel Church of Shelby.
