Ralph Carpenter

Mr. Carpenter, 68, of Casar, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Hospice House of Forest City, NC. A native of Cleveland County, he was a eagle scout, loving father, grandfather, member of Casar United Methodist Church, and retired from Burlington Industries and enjoyed farming his land in later years. Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his parents Dewey Dixon Carpenter and Sarah Francis Horton Carpenter, and a brother Ed Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter is survived by a son Eric Dixon Carpenter of Shelby, two daughters Terri Ann Price and husband Donny of Shelby, Kimberly Johnson McGinnis and husband Rodney of Shelby, his beloved ex-wife Geraldine Carpenter Valcore of Shelby, grandsons Brandon Johnson of Charlotte, Matthew Johnson, Spencer Laughlin & Zachary Laughlin all of Shelby, and Matthew McGinnis of Charlotte and two granddaughters Sarah Laughlin & Lita Price of Shelby, a niece Marsha Proctor of Casar, and a nephew David Carpenter of Tennessee.
