Raynos Caroway

Raynos Lee Caroway, age 91, of Shelby, NC, passed away January 12, 2017 at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation and Living Center.
Born January 4, 1926 in Yancey County, NC, he was the son of the late Cleophas Caroway and Grace Shuford Caroway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters; two brothers; and one grandson.
Mr. Caroway was a member of Dover Baptist Church. He retired from Berkley Mills in 1985 after 33 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Nancy Robertson Caroway; three daughters, Patricia Moore, Peggy Buchanan and husband John, Brenda Lyda and husband James; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
