Rheba Champion Lancaster

Mrs. Rheba Sue Champion Lancaster, age 68 of Gaffney, SC, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, June 12, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Rich Lancaster and Rev. Clay Earle. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lavonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Mooresboro, NC.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Lancaster of the home, two children, Rich Lancaster and wife Lisa of Gaffney, SC, and Kim Earle and husband Clay of Bostic, NC, seven grandchildren, Katie Lancaster Burns and husband Kyle of Spartanburg, SC, Luke Lancaster, Hannah Lancaster, Emmie Sue Lancaster, all of Gaffney, SC, Clayton Earle, Ashleigh Earle, and Wesley Earle, all of Bostic, NC, three brothers, David Champion and Lisa of Kings Mountain, NC, Don Champion of Shelby, NC, and Blane Champion of Shelby, NC.
Born November 6, 1946 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Lancaster was the daughter of the late Raymond Flay and Eva Lou Hamrick Champion and was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Lancaster. Rheba loved and served her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church where she served as pianist and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed playing the Mandolin and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
