Ricky Richards

Mr. Ricky Lee Richards, 63 of Shelby, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Wendover Hospice in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vickie Elaine Allen Richards of the home, two children, John Corbett Richards and wife Natasha of Shelby, NC and Adam Thomas Richards and wife Amanda of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, Bailey and Hayden Richards, both of Shelby, NC, two brothers, Donnie Richards and wife Nancy of Shelby, NC, and Gary Richards of Black Mountain, NC.
Born July 6, 1953 in Cleveland County, Mr. Richards is the son of Gladys Marie Thomas Richards and the late Bobby Edwin Richards.
Mr. Richards was a member of Goodes Grove Baptist Church. Ricky served in the United States Army as a Lance Missile Operator. He later worked and retired from Lithium Corp. as a boiler room operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Ricky will be missed by those that knew him.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, May 29, 2017 at Goodes Grove Baptist Church, 810 Goodes Grove Church Road in Mooresboro conducted by Rev. Robbie Hensley. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.
