Robert Allen Scism

Mr. Robert "Pickle" Allen Scism, age 74 of Shelby, NC, passed away August 16, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Dover Baptist Church with Dr. Ervin Price officiating. The family will receive from 12:30 - 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
Born November 20, 1939 in Cleveland County, Pickle was the son of the late Boyd and Hattie Scism and was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Scism.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Ruth Scism, a son, Robert Colon Scism, a daughter, Cynthia Ann Scism Davidson, five grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, and Hannah Scism, Courtney Evans and Myla Davidson Keever as well as three great grandchildren, Jaxon Keever, Andrew Scism, and a baby boy that is due at any time.
Mr. Scism served in the United States Army from 1958 - 1962. Pickle was recognized for his love of football, sense of humor, intriguing storytelling and the absolute devotion to his adoring family and friends. He made a positive impact on those who were ever around him. We will always cherish him in our hearts and are blessed to have known such a great man.
