Robert Elliott

Mr. Elliott, 79, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. Mr. Elliott was a member of Polkville Baptist Church, retired from Bost Bakery as a truck driver, and was a farmer. He also served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War.

Mr. Elliott was preceeded in death by his parents John Paxton Elliott & Fannie Whisnant Elliott.

He is survived by his wife Rachel Wellmon Elliott of the home, a daughter and her husband Amy Elliott Bridges & Kevin of Shelby, NC, a granddaughter Madison Bridges, and a grandson Isaac Bridges both of Shelby, NC. Mr. Elliott is also survived by three brothers Thomas Elliott and Charlie Elliott both of Lawndale, NC, and John Elliott of Shelby, NC, also two sisters Mary Belle Elliott and Margaret Elliott both of Greensboro, NC.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Rick Hamrick and Rev. Dale Byrd of Polkville Baptist Church.
