Robert Galloway

Mr. Galloway (Bob), 74, of 402 Fields Drive, Shelby, NC passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Harry R. Galloway & Vergie Anthony Galloway and was also preceeded in death by a son Robert Dwayne Galloway and a brother Dwight Galloway. Bob was a sub-contractor and self employed Brick Mason, a member of Peach Street Baptist Church and a former member & Sgt. of the Cleveland County Sheriffs Reserve. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Hospice at Wendover and the home care staff, Cynthia Gould, Kristy Suttle, Priscilla Brooks, Dr. David Barker and also to Dr. Mike Miller at Shelby Family Practice. Bob is survived by his wife Barbara Galloway of the home, a son Mark Eugene Galloway of Belwood, NC, daughters, Sherry Moore and husband Steve of Shelby, Rhonda Huskey & friend Edward Monroe of Shelby, and Wanda Rowland and husband Mark of Pickens, SC. In addition to these he is also survived by a brother Donald Galloway of Shelby, a sister Pat Martin and husband B. J. of Forest City, NC, a special friend Danny Grigg of Gaffney, SC, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Richard Stroup pastor of New Camp Creek Baptist Church of Kings Mountain, NC.
