Robert Ramsey

Mr. Robert Enos Ramsey, 95, of Shelby, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Peak Resources - Shelby.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mildred Jean Bumgardner Ramsey of the home, a daughter, Elizabeth Ayers of Forest City, NC, two grandchildren, Cherie Jeanne Ledford and Terry Bryan Ayers, two great grandchildren, Felix Jaxon Matthis and Robert Royceton Ayers.
Born December 4, 1920 in Rutherford County, Mr. Ramsey was the son of Max Ramsey and Annie Clontz Ramsey and was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Mr. Ramsey was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. Robert was self-employed selling cars. He enjoyed playing the fiddle and Blue Grass music playing for several bands. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by those that knew him.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Sandy Plains Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Garin Hill and Rev. Chase Robinson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
