Roberta Ross

Mrs. Roberta Melton Ross, age 72 of Shelby, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at her residence. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, July 10, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Richard King. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
She is survived by two children, Gary Putnam of Shelby, NC, and a daughter, Karen Armour and husband Tony of Mooresboro, NC, two grandchildren, Kayla Putnam of Marion, NC, and Justin Armour of Mooresboro, NC, two great grandchildren, Payton Harp and Jalen Parker, three brothers, George Melton of Kings Mountain, NC, Roy Melton of Valdese, NC, and G.C. Melton and wife Betty of Spartanburg, SC.
Born November 4, 1942 in Shelby, NC, Roberta was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lena (Harvey) Melton and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Devaney Putnam, a brother, James Melton and wife Shirley, and four sisters, Ruby Stevens, Lillian Collins, Frances Keller and husband Burman, and Louise Oaks and husband Bob.
