Rodney Goins

Rodney Steven Goins, age 55 of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 12, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tracy Beam Goins of the home, six children, Kesha Martin (Chad) of Kings Mountain, NC, Christopher Goins of Shelby, NC, Jeffrey Goins of Lincolnton, NC, Nathan Goins of Shelby, NC, Chase Goins of Shelby, NC, and Marissa Goins of Shelby, NC, and his precious grandson, Jaxon Martin of Kings Mountain, NC.

Born November 22, 1965 in Cleveland County, Rodney was the son of the late Samuel Whitey Goins and Martha Raye Newton Goins and was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Goins, and a sister, Marilyn Goins.

Rodney attended Landmark Baptist Church.  He was the owner/operator of Goins Automotive in Shelby.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  Rodney enjoyed racecars, fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandson, Jaxon.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Landmark Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Allen Davis.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
