Ronald Dean Grayson

Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Dean Grayson, age 76 of Shelby, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Carol Mayhue Grayson of the home, three children, Timothy Lee Grayson, Dawn Grayson Parris and husband Kevin, and Terry Scott Grayson and wife Cindy, all of Shelby, NC, three grandchildren, Logan Blaire Howell, Nathaniel Kane Grayson, and Bailey Nicole Grayson, a brother, Roger Grayson and wife Kathryn of Shelby, NC, and three sisters, Catherine Grayson Tillman and husband Eddie of Shelby, NC, Peggy Grayson Gantt of Shelby, NC, and Linda Grayson Noggle and husband Charles of Charlotte, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born September 25, 1941 in Cleveland County, Mr. Grayson was the son of the late Forrest Jackson Grayson and Mary Jane Camp Grayson and was preceded in death by a brother, John Jackson Grayson, and a sister, Patsy Grayson Gorman.
Ronnie was an avid golfer who never met a stranger. He also loved listening to gospel music, preferably performed by the Gospel Quartet, "His Glory". He was a God loving man that was instrumental in spreading the gospel to his family and friends. Ronnie's greatest enjoyment was having his family gathered together on Sunday afternoons at his home for great food, fellowship, and endless laugher.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, July 2, 2018, at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Jerry Welch. A visitation will be held from 1:30 - 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park
