Ronald Hamrick Sr.

Ronald Steve Hamrick Sr., age 76 of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Watts Hamrick of the home, three children, Ronnie Hamrick Jr. and wife Lisa, Larry Hamrick and wife Brenda, and Jeremy Hamrick, all of Shelby, NC, six grandchildren, Justin Hamrick of Shelby, NC, Jessica Bradley and husband Seth of Gastonia, NC, Katie Hamrick of Shelby, NC, Tyler Hamrick of Shelby, NC, Christopher Doubek of Buffalo, NY, and Aliza Edmondson of Kings Mountain, NC, a sister, Vickie Hamrick Jenkins and husband Jim of Shelby, NC, and a brother, Tim Hamrick and wife Jill of Rutherfordton, NC.

Born August 6, 1943 in Cleveland County, Ronald was the son of the late Frank Coy Hamrick and Christina Allen Hamrick and was preceded in death by two sisters, Marlene Hurdt and Joyce Pearson.

Ronnie loved God and his Country.  He served proudly in the United States Army as a mechanic.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Ronnie enjoyed life and would always bring a smile to your face.  He will be missed by all that knew him.

A graveside service was held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Cleveland Memorial Park with military honors.
