Ronald West

Mr. West, 61 of 4007 Hillview Circle, Shelby, NC passed away Saturday Sept. 27, 2008 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late James Edgar West & Mildred Louise Harris West Brown. He was also preceeded in death by a sister, Peggy Wright. Mr. West was employed by Hurst Emergency Products as a machinist for 21 years, and a proud member of the 101st Airborne of the U. S. Army and had served in Vietnam.
Mr. West is survived by his wife of 34 years Judy Rogers West of the home, sisters Bobbi J. Lamberth and husband Mike of Lincolnton, NC, Patricia Ann Blanton and husband Jim of Charlotte, NC, Robin Jean Ramsey of Rock Hill, SC, a brother-in-law Marty Wright of Kings Mountain, NC, a special aunt Louise Harris of Rock Hill, SC, and special cousins Don Harris of Kings Mountain, NC, and Shirley St. Clair of Indian Land, SC. Ronnie is also survived by Judy's brothers & sisters and their spouses; George & Wanda Rogeers, Ron & Ginja Rogers, Dale & Jane Reynolds, and Jerry & Cheryl McSwain all of Shelby, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Wanda Rogers, Dr. Rob Laney of Shelby Surgical Associates and a special friend, Bobby Buchanan and to Gwen Wade for the wonderful care and concern given to Ronnie during his illness.
