Rosie Powell

Rosie Lee Powell, 81, of Boiling Springs, NC went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2014. Daughter of the late, Roy and Viola Rankin, Rosie was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and was employed by The AmericInn in Boiling Springs. She was a very special Lady, loved by many but none more than her family. Mother of four daughters, one son, eight granddaughters, one grandson, four great granddaughters and one great great granddaughter, Rosie lead her family by example with strength, courage and love. She taught all her children to love each other unconditionally and to raise their children by the same standard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert F. Powell, Sr., son, Robert F. Powell, Jr., sister, Ruth Smith, brother, Eddie Rankin and son-in-law, Steve White.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Wyatt and brother, Jerry Rankin of Gaffney, SC., daughters, Rose Ann Daves and husband Ted of Boiling Springs, NC, Evelyn White of Boiling Springs, NC, Mary Morris and husband Mike of Gaffney, SC, and Cecelia Hudson and husband Rick of Casar, NC, granddaughters, Anna McDaniel and husband Ben, Jessie Whicker and husband Scott, Mandy White and husband Josh, Racheal Haywood and husband Jordan, Dawn Williams and husband Trey, Katie Morris, Sierra Powell, Caitlin Powell, a grandson, Jeremy Powell, great granddaughters, Kara McDaniel, Taylor White, Olivia White, Zurie Haywood and great great granddaughter, Bella McDaniel, several nieces and nephews and her dog companion, Savannah.
