Ruby Kale

Mrs. Ruby Lee Fortenberry Kale, age 88, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2013 at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Jake Burge Fortenberry and Lincy Bowman Fortenberry. Mrs. Kale loved cooking, flowers, babysitting, and animals. She really enjoyed taking care of others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mack Leonard Kale Sr.; daughter, Susie Blanton; son, Thomas Kale.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris K. Wellmon and husband Roy Lee of Shelby; son, Mack Leonard Kale Jr. and wife Beth of Lawndale; eight grandchildren, Michael Canipe and wife Beth, Lee Kale, Kevin Blanton, Jason Kale and wife Kammie, Jeff Canipe and wife Kelly, Zach Kale, Jessica Kale, and Haley Kale; seven great grandchildren; special nephew, Kenny Flack; special niece, Lavonda Lovelace.
