Ruby Walker

Mrs. Walker, 83, of Shelby, NC passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at her home. A native of Rutherford County, NC, she was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Walker was preceeded in death by her parents Ivey Bright & Lishey Byars Bright, her husband Charles William "Bill" Walker and brothers James, Wilbert, Dean, Glenn & Russell Bright. Mrs. Walker is survived by three sons; Steve Walker and wife Donnis of Shelby, Ronnie Walker of the home, Johnny Walker and wife Janet of Shelby, three daughters; Debbie Cogdell and husband Clifford of Lattimore, Janice Cartee & Lisa Walker Brown both of the home, three brothers Max, Bob, & Bill Bright all of Forest City, NC, a sister Jackie Fisher of Forest City, NC, and a special friend Sherry Davis of Shelby. In addition to these Mrs. Walker is survived by ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Hayes.
