Shirley Glascoe

Mrs. Glascoe, 78, of Raleigh, formally of 618 Kingsbury Street, Shelby, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 in Raleigh. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Clarence H. Williams and Ruth Mode Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 18 yrs. D.J. "Bud" Glascoe and a brother Lloyd Williams and many friends all over North Carolina. Mrs. Glascoe loved reading, playing bridge, listing to music, and enjoyed playing the piano. She was a very loving woman, loved entertaining and welcomed anyone to her home. Mrs. Glascoe is survived by her daughter Ramona Fitzgerald & husband Jimmy of Raleigh; son Mike Rhyne & wife Sheri of Southport; stepdaughter Allyson Howell and husband Frankie of Shelby; a brothr Glenn Williams & wife Harriett of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Spencer Padgett & Lindsey Kiser; step grandchildren Tripp Howell & Matthew Howell. Graveside services will be conducted by Dr. Paul Sorrells. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital in Greenville or Masonic Home for Children in Oxford.
