Shirley Mckee

Mrs. McKee, 86, of Shelby, NC, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, NC, she retired after 37 years as an office assistant with Dr. Numa Carter. She was a charter member of Landmark Baptist Church, past member & secretary of the Senior Sunday School Class, past church clerk and had served on the Buildiing Committee. Mrs. McKee was preceded in death by her parents Richard Bennett Martin & Beunah Grigg Martin, a brother James Martin, and five sisters; Inez Whitaker, Dot McDaniel, Ruth Scism, Joann Bridges and Mildred Martin. Mrs. McKee is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bob McKee of the home, two sons and their wives; Richard McKee and Denise of Mooresboro, NC, Jimmy McKee and Denise also of Mooresboro, NC, two sisters Mabel Condor of Charlotte, NC, and Irene Mizell of Kernersville, NC, and grandchildren; Eddie Hoke & wife Dani, Chris McKee, Zac McKee, Carly McKee and Brian McGill. In addition to these she is also survived by three great grandchildren; Landri Hoke, Delaney McKee and Charlie McKee. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev.
