Socorro Greene

Mrs. Greene, 80, of 2914 Lake Drive, Shelby, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 10, 2009. Mrs. Greene had been a resident at Peak Resources in Shelby, NC for the last 6 weeks. She was a member of Christ the King Church in Shelby. Born in ElPaso, Texas on September 9, 1928 was preceeded in death by her parents Octaviano Minjarez & Teodora Minjarez and a brother Ramon Minjarez. Mrs. Greene is survived by her sister Arcelia Velez and her husband Rafael of Watsonville, California. She is also survived by her beloved husband, the love of her life for 64 years, Frank Greene; a son and his wife Bob & Roberta Greene; 3 daughters, Linda Lindsey, Pat & Larry Peeler, Kathy & Dan Bivins; 9 grandchildren, Michelle & Sammy Hunter, Julie Lindsey, Jennifer & Jimmy Via, Tex & Kelly Lindsey, Shannon Bedsaul, Paul Peeler, Kati & Randy Nelson, Mark & Maria Bivins; 9 great grandchildren, Megan & Carter Carter, Tre' Hunter, Zack Via, Brandon Ring, Collin Hunter, Grace Lindsey, Nichole Bedsaul, Stetson Bedsaul and Tex Lindsey IV, along with many other relatives and lots of dear friends.

Mrs. Greene was a ture homemaker, an awesome wife and helpmate, a precious mother and grandmother, an anointed prayer warrior, a friend for life, and"Momma Suki" to many. She had a God given love for people and exhorted and encouraged everyone she met. A celebration of "her life and homegoing" is scheduled as follows:
