Sue Blanton

Mrs. Sue Jane Sherrill Blanton, 93, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Hendersonville. A native of Catawba County, she is the daughter of the late Edwin Van Buren Sherrill and Gurley Irene McGee Sherrill. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Gordon "Doc" Blanton; two brothers, Tommy Sherrill and Brady Sherrill.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Garren and husband Don of Hendersonville; three grandchildren, Marc Garren and wife Tammerah of Fuquay Varina, NC, Brandee Garren of Raleigh and Grey Garren of Hendersonville; two great grandchildren, Lillian Jane Garren and Carter Toney; one sister, Peggy Gantt of Catawba, NC.
