Tanner Denton

Tanner Logan "Tanner Bug" Denton, age 10, of Shelby, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Travis Edward Denton and Melanie Ann Brewer Denton. Tanner was an honor student at Jefferson Elementary School. He loved playing with Legos, the Boy Scouts, Minecraft, singing, and soccer. Tanner was a member of the jump rope club and the robotics club.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Emma Grace Denton of the home; grandparents, Richard Brewer and wife Sarah of Buffalo, NY, Deborah Danahy of Cary, NC, Eddie and Debbie Denton of Delight, NC; great grandparents, Bob Ingle of Shelby and Betty Sue Strasser of Buffalo, NY; two aunts, Crystal Easler of Draytonville, SC and Mary Elizabeth Danahy of Raleigh, NC; uncle, Richard Brewer Jr. of Indian Trail, NC. He is also survived by numerous other extended family and friends.
