Thomas "Tommy" Greene

Thomas “Tommy” Marshall Greene, age 79 of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Brenda Price Greene of the home, two children, Angela Annas (Tallant) of Shelby, NC, and Sheila Hamrick (Dean) of Shelby, NC, a granddaughter, Brianna Hamrick (Dylan Hastings) of Shelby, NC, two great grandchildren, Haven Grace Hastings and Lucy Mae Hastings, both of Shelby, NC, a sister, Louise McNeilly (Maynard) of Polkville, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born January 20, 1943 in Cleveland County, NC, Tommy was the son of the late Hugh Greene and Virginia McKee Greene and was preceded in death by a brother, David Greene and his wife Kathy Greene.

Tommy was a loving husband, father, Paw Paw, and brother.  He enjoyed classical and bluegrass music, astronomy, reading, and traveling.  Tommy served in the United States Marine Corps as a mechanic.  He later worked and retired from Celanese Fiber as a mechanic.  Tommy especially enjoyed spending time with his family on trips to White Lake.

A private service will be announce by the family at a later date.
