Truby Thornton

Mr. Thornton, 70, of Lawndale, NC passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Raeford, Florida, he was employed at Carrigan Auto Sales in the Auto Body Shop for 15 years and was a member of Community Baptist Church. Mr. Thornton was preceded in death by his parents Truby & Florine Wood Thornton, and his wife Mary Ann Cooper Beaver Thornton and five sisters. Mr. Thornton is survived by his daughter and her husband Eunice Ann Beaver & Roger of Lawndale, NC, a two sons John Thornton and David Thornton of Lake City, Fla., stepsons Mark Beaver of Casar, NC, and Sammy Beaver of Polkville, NC, four brothers Daniel Thornton of Lake City, Fla., Wayne Thornton of MacClenny, Fla., Charles Thornton and J. W. Thornton of Lake City, Fla. In addition to these he is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by the Revs. John R. Bridges and Tony Rayfield.
