Virginia Mccurry

Virginia "Ginny" K. McCurry, age 69, of Shelby passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Hospice of Cleveland County, Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Joe Philbeck and Margaret Hovis Philbeck. Mrs. McCurry "Ginny", was a faithful member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, an avid golfer, with the record of 15 hole-in-ones, enjoyed stamping and greeting cards, and was well loved by her family and friends who received cards from her. She was a homemaker and had worked 4 years at Pine Grove Golf Course.

She is survived by her husband Joe McCurry of the home; one son, Mark McCurry and wife Tonia of Shelby; two grandchildren, Emily and Sammy McCurry; one brother, Robert Philbeck and wife Sandra of Cary, NC; one sister, Barbara Jo Warren and husband Dale of Chralotte.
