Virginia "Ginny" Lee Paine, went home to be with Jesus in the early morning hours of March 20, 2011 in the Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. Ginny fought a valiant battle against breast cancer for 5 years. She was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Walter Howard West of Homestead, FLA. and the late Mary Amanda Sadler West of Beckley, West Virginia. Ginny was prececed in death by her little brothers John Thomas West of Aurora, CO, and David Howard West of Greenville, SC. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 39 years, Tom Paine of Shelby, NC, daughters Erin Rose Adams of High Point, NC, and Amanda Brannock & (Mike)of Apex, NC, grandchildren Melissa, Daniel, and Shelby Ramey, Emma Grace Adams, J. D. Daniel, Jason & Jill Brannock and her little sister Kathy West McAleer & (Hugh) of Zebulon, GA and many sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Ginny graduated from Druid Hills High School in 1968, attended Clemson University and graduated from Georgia State in 1971. She taught elementary and middle school in Beckley, West Virginia, Waldrof, Maryland, and Kernersville, North Carolina. She retired on March 1, 2001 as a Field Claims Manager for Cincinnati Insurance Insurance. She loved her 15 years of service to Cincinnati and was loved by her team and workers. Ginny loved camping with Tom and especially loved their annual camping trips with their children and grandchildren. She was highly skilled in gardening , sewing, and hosting family gatherings on their deck and around the fire pit.She enjoyed watching her beloved UNC Tar Heels, especially the drum section of the band, reading and being surrounded by her precious grandchildren. But most of all Ginny loved her merciful savior, Jesus. Ginny will be missed by many but her family and friends find peace and hope in knowing she is now rejoicing with Jesus and hearing His precious words to her saying "Well done, good and faithful servant, come into the place I have already prepared for you".
