Warren Reid

Mr. Reid retired from the State of N. C. Vocational Rehabilitation where he was a case worker supervisor. He was a Baptist Minister, a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and a life member of the D.A.V. He attended Gardner-Webb from 1952-1954 and graduated Limestone College in 1959. He served many Baptist churches in North and South Carolina, and in later years he enjoyed time spent with his family and grandchildren. He was a veterand of the U. S. Army where he earned the rank of Captain. He served in the European Theater and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Mr. Reid's parents were the late Lewis George Martin Reid & Emma Rosabelle Shell Reid. He was also preceeded in death by one brother, one half brother & six sisters.
Mr. Reid is survived by his wife of 62 years Christine Davis Reid, sons and wives; Richard Reid & Tina of Gastonia, Phil Reid & Sherrie of Shelby, Dwight Reid & Cheryl of Greenville, S. C., daughter & husband Patti Allred & Floyd of Mt. Airy, N.C. He is also survived by grandchildren; Karen Timmons, Angie Sistare, Jonathan, Kristen & Jaycee Reid, Brittany & Landon Reid, Matthew & Jonathan Reid and 5 great grandchildren.
