Wesley Dixon Jones, age 65 of Shelby, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Atrium Health in Charlotte.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debra Edwards Jones of the home, his children, Christina Hamrick (Chad) of Shelby, NC, and Stephanie Bristol (Sonny II) of Shelby, NC, four grandchildren, Noah Cline, Sophie Bristol, Styler Bristol, and Sonny Bristol III, a brother, Lanny Jones (Sylvia) of Richmond, VA, a sister-in-law, Donna Pendleton of Lawndale, NC, two aunts, Carolyn Greene of Mooresboro, NC, and Dorothy Helton of Ellenboro, NC, two nieces, Hollie Rockefeller (Chris) of VA, and Jayme Spears, of VA, two nephews, Michael Pendleton (Beth) of Fallston, NC, and Jason Pendleton (Lisa) of Shelby, NC, and numerous great nieces and a nephew.

Born April 28, 1957 in Cleveland County, Wesley was the son of Sally Dixon Jones and the late Charles William Jones.  Also surviving is a mother and father-in-law, Joe and Louise Edwards of Boiling Springs, NC.

Wesley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son.  He enjoyed being outside and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.  Wesley worked and retired from Timken of Gaffney after 33 years of service.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
