Willie Hicks

Mrs. Willie Mae Hicks, age 91 of Shelby, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 ate White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton.
She is survived by her children Ricky Hicks and wife Sue of Shelby, NC, David Hicks and wife Tracy of Boiling Springs, NC, Joan Bell and husband Jerry of Shelby, NC, and Alicia Fuller Gaffney, SC, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, three brothers, Freddie Stinchcomb of Fallston, NC, Curtis Stinchcomb of Fitzgerald, GA, and Jimmy Stinchcomb and wife Pat of Fallston, NC, and a sister, Evelyn Hannon of Kings Mountain, NC.
Born August 7, 1924 in Griffin, GA, Mrs. Hicks was the daughter of the late Calvin and Alice Stinchcomb and was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hicks, a brother, Clarence Stinchcomb and three sisters, Shirley Boggus, Neomi Wright, and Inez Blanton.
Mrs. Hicks enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Buchanan. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park
