Willie Putnam

Mrs. Willie Frances Hudson Putnam, age 89 of Shelby, NC, passed away March 24, 2015 at Wendover Hospice House with her loving children by her side. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
She is survived three children, Becky Proctor (Sam), Louise Weaver, and Johnny Putnam (Lisa), nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, a sister, Irene Martin (Ken), and a brother, Billy Joe Hudson (Donna).
Born September 27, 1925 in Cleveland Co., Mrs. Putnam was the daughter of the late John and Sally Newton Hudson and was preceded in death by her husband, Mial Putnam, Sr., a son, Mial Putnam, Jr., a sister, Mary Lou Hudson, and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Pines Nursing Center, Activity Dept., 1404 N. Lafayette Street, Shelby NC 28150.
